The nomination period commences on 2nd October (Thursday) and ends at 28th October 2025 (Tuesday) 23:59:59. Nominations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Each day secondary school in Hong Kong may nominate up to 8 students to the Senior Group and 8 students to the Junior Group.
– Senior Group: Born on or after 1st July 2006
– Junior Group: Born on or after 1st July 2009 AND have more than 2 years remaining in their normal course of secondary school study

HKOI only accepts nominations through schools. Please contact your school’s ICT subject master or teacher-in-charge to apply.

his year, the quota is 600 students for the Senior Group and 540 students for the Junior Group. Nominations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis*. Schools are strongly encouraged to submit their nomination forms early.
*According to the submission time provided that the form with signatures and school chop has been uploaded. If the form is amended after submission, additions, replacements and students with changed group will have their queue position reset to the end.
