Each secondary school may nominate up to 16 students. Application deadline is 29th October, 2024 (Tuesday). Nominations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

On 21st September 2024, EDB announced the suspension of schools due to bad weather (Red Rainstorm Signal), HKACE and CCF, the organiser of CSP-J/S has decided that:
1. The Heat Event of SDIC Senior Group (CSP-S1 Hong Kong exam) will be cancelled.
2. All students who were successfully nominated to SDIC Senior Group Heat Event shall qualify for the Final Event.
Hong Kong Secondary Schools Software Development Invitational Contest (SDIC) 2024 Heat Event will be held on 21st September, 2024 (Saturday).
The application deadline is 4th September, 2024 (Wednesday).
